Data is encrypted via 128-bit SSL when it goes from a LIFEPAK device to the LIFENET
data centers as well as when it goes from the data centers to destinations such as
LIFENET Alert. Once the data is available in LIFENET Alert, it is encrypted with AES128
until it is purged from the system as per the schedule set by the customer (up to 1
week). For customers using LIFENET Archive for local storage, data is stored in the
Microsoft SQL Express 2008 R2 database installed by LIFENET Archive. Data is not
encrypted in this database but access to the database, outside of LIFENET Archive, is
controlled via a database administrator password.

Data in transit
From a Stryker device to the LIFENET System data centers -- as well as from the data centers to destinations such as LIFENET Alert client -- all data is encrypted using TLS protocol, 128 bits or higher.

Data at rest
Once device data is received in LIFENET System, temporarily-held data-at-rest is encrypted with AES-128 until it is purged from the system, per the data retention setting set by your organization

Stryker recommends full disk encryption on customer-managed workstations.
